GWPA REGULATIONS

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has implemented a new program in which they’ve designated 2.4 million acres across California where groundwater is most vulnerable to pesticide contamination. The regulations of this new program prescribe actions to prevent pesticides from reaching the groundwater below those areas.

The provisions of these regulations only apply to those who:
1) Want to apply one of the 7 listed pesticides AND
2) Want to apply the pesticide in a GWPA (Groundwater Protection Area).
